Message from HFH
Dear Clients and Carers,
Today, based on the evidence now available, the government has added loss of or a change in your normal sense of smell (anosmia) to the existing two symptoms of potential COVID-19.
From today, all individuals should self-isolate if they develop:
- a new continuous cough
- a high temperature
- a loss of or change in your normal sense of smell (anosmia)
If you or a member of your household develop symptoms please it immediately to our Care Co-ordinators so we can advise and support you on actions to take.
For our clients this includes discussion with the clinical team who will liaise with our public health colleagues for specialist advice
For our staff, please remember that we now have access to COVID-19 testing for HFH staff and their symptomatic household members.
The individual should self-isolate at home for 7 days, or longer if they still have symptoms other than cough or loss of sense of smell.
The individual’s households should also self-isolate for 14 days as per the current guidelines.
Thank you for continuing to work with us to minimise the risk of cross infection.
Kind regards
Quality and Governance on behalf of Paula Friend Managing Director
